There are risks in any martial art or contact sport. However, our coaches emphasize safety and control above all else. Thanks to their guidance, injuries are exceedingly rare.

• Bleeding: If you bleed, immediately notify a coach, get a bandage, and disinfect the mat.
• Illness: Stay home if you or your child are feeling unwell.
• Skin Issues: Regularly check for bumps or rashes that could indicate conditions like ringworm or staph infections.
• Nails: Trim nails before every class to prevent injuries.
• Gear: Clean your gear after each use and let it air out to avoid odor and bacteria buildup.
• Clothing: Ensure your clothing is clean and in good condition.

• Gi BJJ: A proper Jiu-Jitsu Gi (kimono) and BJJ belt.
• No-Gi BJJ: Shorts or compression pants/leggings and a compression/athletic shirt (no zippers, buttons, or pockets).
• Muay Thai: Boxing gloves, shin guards, and a mouthpiece.
• MMA: Amateur MMA gloves, shin guards, and a mouthpiece.
• Boxing: Boxing gloves and a mouthpiece.
